Free Gantt chart maker

A free Gantt chart maker, with the limits in plain sight.

NeoGantt is free for one person with up to five charts, and nothing is switched off: share links, one-page PDF export, templates, comments and version history all work. There’s no trial period and no card to enter. You start paying when you need a sixth chart or a second person editing.

The NeoGantt editor showing a brand refresh project: Discovery and Design phases with task bars, progress percentages, working-day durations and two milestones.

Other free options

How it compares with the usual free routes.

There are good free ways to get a Gantt chart. Which is best depends on how often the plan changes and who has to see it.

A spreadsheet template

Free and familiar. Fine for a plan that won’t change much. Moving tasks and sharing a clean version are where it gets slow. Our Excel guide includes a free template.

Free tiers of PM suites

Generous for task lists, but Gantt or timeline views are often on paid tiers, and sharing outside the team may need guest seats. Check the plan page before you build.

Free tiers of Gantt tools

Some cap tasks or projects tightly, or add exports and sharing only on paid plans. NeoGantt caps charts and people, and leaves every feature switched on.

Free plan questions

Is NeoGantt really free?

Yes. The Free plan is for one person and up to 5 charts, with no time limit and no card. It includes every feature: share links, PDF export, templates, comments, iterations and version history.

What's the catch?

The limits are people and charts. Free is for one person, so you can't invite teammates to edit, and you can keep up to 5 charts. Share-link viewers are unlimited and don't need accounts.

Do free PDF exports have a watermark?

No watermark. Exports show your own logo if you upload one, or a small NeoGantt logo if you don't. That applies on every plan.

Can I make a Gantt chart without signing up?

You can build one in the demo at neogantt.com/try without an account; it's kept in your browser. To save it, share it or export a PDF, create a free account and the chart comes with you.

Does Google have a free Gantt chart tool?

Google Sheets can produce a Gantt-style chart using a template, conditional formatting or its timeline features, free with a Google account. It works for simple plans; moving tasks, working days and sharing a readable version take more effort than in a dedicated tool.

What does it cost when I outgrow it?

Teams of up to 5 people pay $15 a month or $99 a year for unlimited charts. Teams of 6 to 15 pay $25 a month or $199 a year. It's a flat team price, not per seat.
