Features

A Gantt chart tool, and only that.

NeoGantt is for building, sharing and keeping track of project timelines. This page lists everything it does, grouped by the job in front of you, and all of it is included on the free plan.

The NeoGantt editor showing a brand refresh project: Discovery and Design phases with task bars, progress percentages, working-day durations and two milestones.

Building the chart

The editor is the product. It's built to be quick enough to use live in a meeting.

  • Click and drag on the timeline to draw a task; type its name; Enter for the next
  • Drag bars to move, drag edges to resize, drag rows to reorder
  • Groups (phases) that move their tasks together, and milestones for key dates
  • Convert a task to a milestone and back in one click
  • Keyboard shortcuts for adding, moving and resizing
  • Undo and redo for every change
  • Six zoom levels, from days to months
  • Colour palette, customisable for your organisation
  • Stays quick with hundreds of tasks

Scheduling that matches the calendar

Durations mean what a project manager means by them.

  • Durations counted in working days; weekends excluded (switchable per chart)
  • Named non-working periods for holidays and shutdowns, skipped by durations
  • Optional progress tracking, with group progress weighted by working days
  • Shift a whole timeline when a start date moves

Starting quickly

Most charts shouldn't start from a blank page.

  • Ten ready-made templates, from website projects to research plans
  • Save any chart as your own template; duplicate charts
  • Import from TeamGantt CSV exports
  • Sign in with Google or email; a short tutorial on your first chart
  • A public demo that runs the real editor without an account

Sharing and output

Built for plans that go to clients, sponsors and the rest of the company.

  • Live view-only links: no account to view, always current, revocable
  • Your logo on share pages and exports instead of ours
  • Client-owned tasks marked with the client's logo
  • Vector PDF export: A4 fitted to one page, or sized to the chart
  • The live link printed on exports, so paper points to the current plan
  • Viewers can export their own PDF

History and collaboration

Plans change. The record of how they changed shouldn't disappear.

  • Automatic version history with one-click restore
  • Named iterations with an automatic summary of what changed
  • Comments on tasks and milestones, visible to share-link viewers too
  • Teams: invite people by email; everyone in the team edits its charts

See it for yourself

The demo is the real editor. Nothing to install, no account.
