TeamGantt alternatives

The right TeamGantt alternative depends on why you’re leaving. To keep dependencies and critical path for less, look at GanttPRO ($480 a year for 5 users) or Instagantt ($400). To share timelines with clients at a flat price, NeoGantt (ours, $99 for up to 5 people) or Tom’s Planner. For a bigger platform, Smartsheet or monday.com. For free, GanttProject. TeamGantt Base, for comparison, is $590 a year.

A note on bias: NeoGantt is our product, so weigh this page accordingly. Facts about each product come from its own website and help centre, linked at the bottom of this page, and were checked on 29 September 2026. Prices and features change, so check before you buy. Pick by what TeamGantt does for you

Before comparing prices, list what you use TeamGantt for. If it includes linked tasks that reschedule each other, start with the first group: both put critical path and baselines on their entry plans. If it’s mostly drawing a plan and sending it to people, the sharing group costs less and does less, on purpose. If the Gantt chart is one view in a bigger way of working, a suite fits better.

For reference, TeamGantt Base is $590 a year for 1 manager, 10 collaborators and 5 projects, Business starts at $1,140 a year, and share links for non-users need a paid plan. NeoGantt vs TeamGantt has the full side-by-side.

Cheaper TeamGantt alternatives with dependencies

Both keep the scheduling logic TeamGantt users rely on, and cost less than TeamGantt Base for a team of five.

GanttPRO

Suits: Project managers who want TeamGantt-style scheduling, and more of it, priced per person.

Key facts
  • Core $8, Advanced $12, Business $19 per user per month, billed annually for 1–15 users. No free plan; a 14-day trial with no card.
  • Dependencies, auto-scheduling, critical path and baselines on every plan. Workload, time tracking, budgets and an API on Business.
  • Share link with filters, an optional password, and live or snapshot mode. History of changes with restore.
  • Exports PDF, PNG, Excel and XML for Microsoft Project. iOS and Android apps.

Caveat: Per-user pricing adds up: 15 people on Core is $1,440 a year. We couldn’t confirm a custom-logo option for shares or exports.

NeoGantt vs GanttPRO

Instagantt

Suits: Asana teams who want a Gantt layer, and solo planners who need dependencies cheaply.

Key facts
  • Free for Asana users (1 user, 3 projects). Individual $120 a year. Teams $240 a year for 3 collaborators, plus $80 a year for each extra.
  • Dependencies, critical path, baselines, milestones and weekend and holiday awareness on every plan, including Free. Auto-scheduling too.
  • PDF and image export on paid plans; Excel and CSV export. Imports CSV with column mapping.

Caveat: Its public share links are snapshots: a static copy you regenerate when the plan changes. The free plan needs Asana.

TeamGantt alternatives for sharing timelines with clients

For studios, agencies and consultants whose Gantt chart is something a client reads. Both charge a flat fee rather than per editor.

NeoGantt

Our product

Suits: Small teams who build client- or stakeholder-facing timelines and want to share them live, with their own branding, at a flat price.

Key facts

Caveat: No dependencies, critical path, baselines, workload, time tracking, integrations, API or mobile apps. Export is PDF only. If you use TeamGantt for scheduling logic, this isn’t a like-for-like swap.

Tom’s Planner

Suits: One planner who owns the schedules and invites others in for free.

Key facts
  • Free Personal plan: 1 schedule of up to 200 rows. Professional $119 a year for 20 schedules; Unlimited $239 a year.
  • The project owner pays; invitees collaborate with read or write access on free accounts.
  • Dependencies. Paid plans can hide its logo or replace it with yours.
  • Paid export to Microsoft Project, Excel, CSV, PDF and image (JSON on Unlimited).

Caveat: We found no mention of critical path or baselines. Plans are limited by number of schedules rather than people.

TeamGantt alternatives inside a bigger platform

Work management suites where the Gantt chart sits beside tables, boards and dashboards. Check which plan includes the Gantt view before you commit.

Smartsheet

Suits: Teams who think in spreadsheets and want Gantt, automation and reporting on top.

Key facts
  • Pro $9 per member per month yearly (1–10 members); Business $19 (3+ members). Contributors are free. 30-day trial, no card; no free plan listed.
  • Gantt view from Pro, with dependencies (predecessors) and critical path. Baselines and publishing on Business.

Caveat: Sharing a published view outside the team needs Business. We couldn’t confirm which plan critical path starts on.

monday.com

Suits: Teams already using monday boards who want a timeline over the same data.

Key facts
  • Free plan up to 2 seats. Paid plans are per seat, sold with a 3-seat minimum and then in multiples of 5; yearly billing is 18% off.
  • Timeline and Gantt views need Standard or above. Baselines, critical path and time tracking need Pro or Enterprise.
  • Unlimited free viewers on Basic and above.

Caveat: monday showed us prices in Australian dollars and we couldn’t confirm current US list prices, so we haven’t quoted them. A 1–2 person team still pays for 3 seats.

Is there a free TeamGantt alternative?

Yes, with trade-offs. GanttProject is free with no limits and has dependencies, but it runs on the desktop. The free tiers elsewhere are single-user: Instagantt’s needs Asana, Tom’s Planner’s allows one schedule, and NeoGantt’s free plan gives one person five charts with live share links.

GanttProject

Suits: Individuals and small teams who want dependencies and baselines for nothing, and don’t mind a desktop app.

Key facts
  • Free and open source (GPL v3). Runs offline on Windows, macOS and Linux.
  • Task hierarchy, dependencies, milestones, baselines, PERT chart, resource load and cost calculation.
  • Exports PDF, HTML and PNG. Reads MPX, MPP and MSPDI XML files from Microsoft Project.

Caveat: Sharing means passing files around unless you use its optional GanttProject Cloud, whose prices we couldn’t confirm. The current stable release, 3.3, came out in January 2024 (updated January 2025); a 3.4 beta followed in September 2026.

How to move your projects out of TeamGantt

TeamGantt exports each project as CSV or PDF, and the CSV is what other tools import. Instagantt maps CSV columns on import, GanttPRO describes CSV import, and NeoGantt reads TeamGantt’s CSV as it comes.

TeamGantt alternatives: questions

What’s a cheaper alternative to TeamGantt?

It depends what you use TeamGantt for. If you need dependencies and critical path, GanttPRO Core ($480 a year for 5 users) and Instagantt Teams ($400 a year for 5) cost less than TeamGantt Base ($590). If you mainly draw and share timelines, NeoGantt is $99 a year for up to 5 people, but it has no dependencies. GanttProject is free if a desktop app suits you.

Which alternative is most like TeamGantt?

GanttPRO and Instagantt. Both are Gantt-first web apps with dependencies, critical path and baselines on every plan, which puts their entry plans closer to TeamGantt Business than to Base on scheduling features. GanttPRO also has iOS and Android apps; Instagantt is the natural pick if your team already works in Asana.

Can I import my TeamGantt projects into another tool?

TeamGantt exports CSV and PDF. NeoGantt reads TeamGantt’s CSV directly, keeping groups, tasks, milestones, dates, colours and progress. Instagantt imports CSV with column mapping, and GanttPRO describes CSV import too.
