NeoGantt vs GanttPRO
Choose GanttPRO if you need dependencies, critical path, baselines or workload tracking: the first three come on its Core plan at $8 per user per month. Choose NeoGantt if you mainly share timelines with clients: five people pay $99 a year in total against $480 on GanttPRO Core, and NeoGantt has a free plan where GanttPRO offers a 14-day trial.
A note on bias: NeoGantt is our product, so weigh this page accordingly. Facts about GanttPRO come from its own website and help centre, linked at the bottom of this page, and were checked on 29 September 2026. Prices and features change, so check before you buy. If something here is wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it.
A scheduler against a timeline tool
GanttPRO gives you a project manager’s scheduler at a small-app price: dependencies, auto-scheduling, critical path and baselines on its cheapest plan, then workload, time tracking, budgets and an API on Business. NeoGantt leaves all of that out. It’s for drawing a timeline quickly and putting it in front of clients with your logo on it.
For one person the prices are almost level: $96 a year on GanttPRO Core, $99 on NeoGantt Small. GanttPRO charges per user, so the gap opens with every person you add.

Where GanttPRO is the stronger tool
Scheduling on the entry plan. Dependencies, auto-scheduling, critical path and baselines all come with Core. NeoGantt has none of them, on any plan, and if your plans are chains of hand-offs that should reschedule themselves, that settles it.
People, hours and money. Business adds workload, resource calendars, time tracking, budget planning and reports.
Microsoft Project files. GanttPRO exports XML for Project and describes importing .mpp, Excel, CSV and Jira data. It also exports PNG and Excel. NeoGantt exports PDF and imports TeamGantt CSV, nothing else.
Tighter control over links, plus apps. Share links can carry a password or freeze as a snapshot, and there are iOS and Android apps with connections to Teams, Slack and Google and Outlook calendars.
Where NeoGantt is the better buy
A growing team. Five people edit for $99 a year and fifteen for $199, where GanttPRO Core charges $480 and $1,440.
Charts that carry your brand. Your logo replaces ours on share pages and one-page PDFs, and client-owned tasks show the client’s logo on the bar. We found no custom-logo option documented for GanttPRO.
Explaining what moved. Both tools keep a history you can restore. NeoGantt adds named iterations: save one when a plan is agreed, and the next one lists the dates that shifted and the tasks added or removed, which is the answer a client wants when they ask why launch is a week later. See version history.
Less to set up. There are no roles, resources, custom fields or cost settings. Open a chart, drag out the tasks, send the link.

NeoGantt vs GanttPRO questions
Does GanttPRO have a free plan?
No. GanttPRO offers a 14-day trial of its premium features with no credit card, then paid plans from $8 per user per month billed annually. NeoGantt has a free plan for 1 person and up to 5 charts that doesn’t expire.
Is GanttPRO cheaper than NeoGantt?
For one person, roughly the same: GanttPRO Core is $96 a year and NeoGantt Small is $99. For five people, GanttPRO Core is $480 a year because it charges per user, while NeoGantt Small stays at $99 for the whole team. That $480 buys critical path, baselines and auto-scheduling, which NeoGantt doesn’t have on any plan.
Can I password-protect a shared Gantt chart?
In GanttPRO, yes: its shared private link can have a password, show filtered data, and be live or a static snapshot. NeoGantt’s share links have no password option. They’re always live, and you revoke a link to stop access.
Can I move a Microsoft Project file into NeoGantt or GanttPRO?
Not into NeoGantt, which imports TeamGantt CSV only. GanttPRO describes import from Microsoft Project, Excel, CSV and Jira Cloud, and exports XML for Microsoft Project, so it’s the better choice if you trade files with Project users.
