NeoGantt vs TeamGantt
Choose TeamGantt if your plans need dependencies, critical path, integrations or mobile apps. Choose NeoGantt if you mainly build timelines and share them with clients: it costs $99 a year for up to 5 people against $590 for TeamGantt Base, its share links work on the free plan, and it imports TeamGantt’s CSV export.
A note on bias: NeoGantt is our product, so weigh this page accordingly. Facts about TeamGantt come from its own website and help centre, linked at the bottom of this page, and were checked on 29 September 2026. Prices and features change, so check before you buy. If something here is wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it.
Linked tasks decide it
TeamGantt and NeoGantt are both Gantt-first web apps. The split between them is scheduling logic. In TeamGantt you can link tasks so that moving one pushes the ones after it, and Business adds critical path and baselines. NeoGantt has no task links at all: you draw the plan, drag what moves and share the result.
A quick test. If a slip in week two should reshuffle the next ten tasks without you touching them, TeamGantt is the right tool and the rest of this page won’t change that. If your chart is mostly something clients and stakeholders read, compare the two on price, sharing and change history, which is where NeoGantt is stronger.
TeamGantt pricing compared with NeoGantt
| Topic | NeoGantt | TeamGantt |
|---|---|---|
| How it’s priced | Flat price per team, set by headcount. Everyone in the team can edit every chart. | Flat price set by number of projects. On Base, 1 manager runs the plan; collaborators can view and update only their assigned tasks. |
| Free plan | 1 person, up to 5 charts, including share links and PDF export. | Personal: 1 user, 1 project, 40 tasks, basic features including dependencies. Share links for non-users need a paid plan. |
| 5 people | Small: $99/year, unlimited charts. | Base: $590/year, 5 projects, 150 tasks per project. |
| 15 people | Medium: $199/year, unlimited charts. | Business: from $1,140/year with 5 projects. Each extra project $228/year, up to 20. |
| Trial | None needed: the free plan doesn’t expire. | 14 days. A credit card is required, and the trial bills when it ends. |
Because TeamGantt counts projects rather than people, the sum depends on how many plans you keep open. An agency with twelve live client projects outgrows Base’s five-project cap long before its seat count, and on Business those twelve cost from $2,736 a year ($1,140 plus seven extra projects at $228). NeoGantt doesn’t count charts on paid plans. The full plan list is on NeoGantt pricing, and the free plan is there to test with a real project first.
Features side by side: scheduling, sharing, history and files
| Topic | NeoGantt | TeamGantt |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Drawing a timeline quickly and sending it to clients and stakeholders. | Scheduling project work, with a growing construction focus (Builder Edition, Procore sync, client portal). |
| Dependencies, critical path, baselines | None. Durations count working days and skip the holidays and shutdowns you define. | Basic dependencies on every plan, including Free. Critical path, advanced dependencies and baselines on Business and Builder. |

| Branding | Your logo replaces NeoGantt’s on share pages and PDFs. Client-owned tasks can carry the client’s logo. | An admin can upload a company logo for PDF exports. We couldn’t confirm a logo on live share links. |

What TeamGantt does that NeoGantt doesn’t
If any of these is part of how your team works, TeamGantt is the better choice. NeoGantt has no equivalent for them.
- Dependencies on every plan, including Free. Critical path, advanced dependencies and baselines come with Business and Builder.
- Running the team as well as the plan: workload, time tracking, hourly estimates and portfolio views, on Business and above.
- Connections to Slack, Zapier, Trello, Procore, Basecamp and calendar apps, a public API, and iOS and Android apps.
- File exchange. It imports Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 files and exports CSV. NeoGantt imports only TeamGantt CSV and exports only PDF.
- Construction. The Builder Edition adds lookahead schedules, schedule-change confirmations, material delay prevention and a client portal with messaging.
Where NeoGantt is the better fit
Plans that go to clients. A NeoGantt share link opens in any browser without a login, always shows the current plan and works on the free plan. Your logo replaces ours on that page and on the PDF export, a vector file fitted to one A4 page. Flag tasks as client-owned and the client’s logo sits on those bars, so nobody argues later about whose turn it was.
A record of what changed. NeoGantt snapshots the chart at most every five minutes while you work, keeps the latest 200, and restores any of them. When a plan is signed off, save it as a named iteration; the next iteration lists which dates moved and what was added or removed. See version history.
Building in the meeting. Drag across the timeline to create a task, drag its edges to change the dates, and use Enter and the arrow keys for the rest. Weekends and your holidays are skipped when durations are counted.

NeoGantt vs TeamGantt questions
How much does TeamGantt cost?
Billed annually, TeamGantt Base is $590 a year for 1 manager, 10 collaborators and 5 projects. Business starts at $1,140 a year with 5 projects included and $228 a year for each extra project, up to 20. The Builder Edition starts at $1,908 a year. Billed monthly, Base is $59. The free Personal plan covers 1 user, 1 project and 40 tasks.
Is there a free TeamGantt alternative?
NeoGantt’s free plan covers 1 person and up to 5 charts, and includes live share links, which TeamGantt keeps to paid plans. It has no dependencies, though. If you need dependencies for nothing, GanttProject is a free, open-source desktop app. Our TeamGantt alternatives page covers both, plus five paid options.
Does NeoGantt have dependencies like TeamGantt?
No. NeoGantt has no task links, critical path, auto-scheduling or baselines. When one task slips, you drag the tasks after it yourself, or shift the whole plan at once. If your schedule relies on linked tasks moving together, stay with TeamGantt or look at GanttPRO.
Can I import my TeamGantt projects into NeoGantt?
Yes. Export a project from TeamGantt as CSV and upload it in NeoGantt under Settings, Import. Groups, tasks, milestones, dates, colours and progress come across. Dependencies, assignees, hours, notes and comments don’t, because NeoGantt has nowhere to put them.
Can clients view a plan without a TeamGantt or NeoGantt account?
In both, yes. TeamGantt’s view-only link for non-users needs a paid plan or a premium trial, and its client portal (Builder and Enterprise) asks clients to verify an email or give a name and email. NeoGantt’s view-only link works on every plan, including Free, and opens straight to the latest version.
